MILWAUKEE BUCKS RE-SIGN KHRIS MIDDLETON
MILWAUKEE (July 6, 2023) – The Milwaukee Bucks have re-signed forward Khris Middleton.
A three-time All-Star, Middleton is entering his 12th season in the NBA, having appeared in 657 games (595 starts) with the Bucks over the past 10 seasons. In his Bucks career, Middleton is averaging 17.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.2 steals in 32.0 minutes per game while shooting 45.8% from the field, 38.9% from three and 88.2% from the free-throw line. Last season, he averaged 15.1 points, 4.9 assists and 4.2 rebounds in 33 regular season games before averaging 23.8 points, 6.4 rebounds and 6.2 assists, while shooting 46.5% from the field and 40.6% from three, in five postseason contests.
The 31-year-old is the Bucks’ all-time leader in threes made, knocking down 1,253, and is currently in seventh on the franchise’s all-time scoring list with 11,468 points. Middleton is also fourth in franchise history in assists, fourth in games played, fifth in steals, fifth in minutes played, sixth in field goals made and sixth in free throws made. He earned All-Star selections in 2019, 2020 and 2022.
Middleton has played and started 74 playoff games for the Bucks in his career and is averaging 20.3 points, 6.3 rebounds and 4.8 assists in postseason action with Milwaukee. An instrumental part of the Bucks’ run to winning the 2021 NBA Championship, Middleton averaged 23.6 points, 7.6 rebounds and 5.1 assists in 23 games during the 2021 postseason that ended with the Bucks winning their second title and first in 50 years. He is currently third on the Bucks’ all-time playoff scoring list, trailing only Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, in addition to being first in threes made, third in games played, third in field goals made, third in steals, fourth in rebounds and fourth in assists.
Originally selected with the 39th overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft out of Texas A&M by the Detroit Pistons, Middleton played in 27 games with the Pistons in his first season in the NBA before being traded to the Bucks in July of 2013. Overall, the Charleston, South Carolina native has appeared in 684 games (595 starts) in his NBA career and holds averages of 17.0 points, 4.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 31.4 minutes per game.

MILWAUKEE — Good news for Milwaukee Bucks fans, Khris Middleton is coming back!
ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski first reported the news that the three-time All-Star has agreed on a three-year, $102 million deal to stay with the team.

Last week it was reported Khash Money declined a $40 million player option with the Bucks to become a free agent. He had the option this season, meaning he had a choice between staying with the team one more year for $40 million or opting out.
Middleton joined the NBA in 2012 when he was drafted by the Detroit Pistons. He played 27 games with them before joining the Bucks in 2013.
Throughout his time in the NBA, Middleton has played in 684 games, averaging 17 points and 3.8 assists per game. He has a free-throw percentage of 88.2% and a three-point field goal percentage of 31.5%. He was a major asset during the Bucks' championship run during the 2020-21 playoffs, averaging 23 points a game.
Another Bucks player, Jevon Carter, also had a player option this season. However, Wojnarowski also reported Friday that Carter is leaving the Bucks and will join the Chicago Bulls on a three-year $20 million deal.
Bucks player Joe Ingles is a free player agent but is expected to sign with the Orlando Magic, according to Bleacher Report's Chris Haynes.
Several Bucks players are currently free agents. Those players include:

- Wesley Matthews
- Thanasis Antetokounmpo
- Jae Crowder
- Meyers Leonard
- Goran Dragic
- AJ Green
- Lindell Wigginton
Sports Illustrated reports that the Los Angeles Lakers have expressed interest in Lopez. He spent one season with the team in 2018.
Giannis Antetokounmpo's contract runs through the 2025-26 season. Jrue Holiday and Grayson Allen will be with the Bucks at least through next season.
Bobby Portis is currently in a four-year contract, with a player option for the 2025-26 season. Similar to Portis, Pat Connaughton is also under contract through the 2025-26 season, but he too has a player option.
